What courses are needed to go into Ryerson film school?
My film courses for high school were just canceled because not enough people selected it. Can i go to Ryerson for film without taking film courses in high school?
You don’t need any specific courses to get into the program — just six U or M courses including English at the Grade 12 level.
But, keep in mind that they also require you to submit a portfolio of your artistic work, a resume of your skills and experiences, a written statement, and a film project outline. Your film courses would have definitely helped you put together a versatile supplementary application package.
If switching schools is not too big of a deal for you, you may want to consider the option. Otherwise, be sure to take part in as many relevant extra-curricular activities as you can.
Hope this helps.
